Just a reminder that the Club has a busy month this month.
Firstly though, a thank you to our members for completing the ‘going forward’ survey that we sent out last week. The response has been good, and informative. Thank you also to the members that have contacted or written to me directly with their suggestions and thoughts. Thanks are due also to Dave Jackson for coming forward to offer to start a new initiative in CW.
We hope to see as many members as possible at forthcoming events this month.
Because there are so many members away at the moment, there will be no club meeting tomorrow night, Monday August 8th.
Our next meeting is next Monday, August 15th at 19.30 at the TNMOC, which is the annual MKARS Summer BBQ. We look forward to welcoming you and continuing the discussion about how to best to run the Club in future. Visitors are welcome at the BBQ, but please let us know so that we can gauge the correct amount of food to order.
Monday August 22nd at the TMNOC at 19.30 is our final preparation event for the MKARS rally which is due to be held at the Irish Centre on Sunday 28th August. Could all those that are helping to run, or supporting the Club, at the rally please attend the meeting on Monday 22nd.
Please note there is no meeting on Monday 29th August as it is the summer bank holiday.
Finally, the Club would like to put on a station at the HF (SSB) field day on 3rd and 4th September. This is also a fun event where you get a chance to use some decent kit with decent antennas in the fresh air. Could all those interested please contact our contesting lead, Tim G6GEI to register their interest – either at the BBQ or by DM. We need at least four/five members to hold the event.
That’s it for now. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
